Hello J-body community. I race a 95 2.2 cavy on a half mile asphalt track. I've taken a look at my plugs and they are done and I am In need on new ones. I was wondering Is there an advantage for getting a more aggressive spark plug and so which ones do I get and what should I set my gap too?
P.S. Just trying to get the most out of my engine but don't wanna start melting @!#$ haha.

What is done to the engine?
according to the engine mod list all you have is intake and full exhaust. everyone is going to say stock AC delcos. they work great for our cars
True that would be good. How about the DENSO TT's. I put em in my girls 02 ECO LSSPORT(same as mine) and it feels great from the worn down ac delcos. $2.99 each too! I personally use DENSO IRIDIUMS and love em but I'm sure someone will tell you that its a waste. NGK Iridiums worked great for me

tried the denso TTs. they were ok at first, but degraded fast. like two months fast. also, check them against the factory delcos, as (at least in the case of the OHV engines,) the Denso TT reach (how far the plug protrudes into the cylinder) was a good 3/16" SHORTER than the delco. this can lead to quickly fouling plugs.
ngk iridium IX are good, and if they weren't more expensive than the proper delco plugs, i might consider running them again. its been proven time and time again on this forum, if you want these engines to run at their best, ac delco plugs are the best place to start.

I think the IX XTREME's I had were shorter as well and burnt out fast too, maybe 7 K after I put em in! I wonder if my DENSO will do the same. Stick to the AC DELCO Iridiums or double platinums?
