Ok so were running in a ucar class at a local oval track here is what i put togtether out of some stuff i had laying around the garage........Its got a 94 2.2 bottom end cam crank rods pistons all that the head is an original 87 with some mild port work and polishing done and shaved about .030 I need some ideas what to do next the rules are supose to be all stock so im thinking of mayeb grinding the base circle on the cam and getting longer pushrods and 1.6 factory stamed style rockers... This combination seams to be pretty good it runs pretty strong just looking for a little more power....
1.6 roller rockers lead to a noisy valve train... if they want all stock they'll know you're modded... if they allow internals you'll be fine...
what car is this going in... an 87 or 94?
the car is an 87 but were running a 94 2.2 bottom end with an 87 intake and head it runs pretty good, and they make some 1.6 stamped rockers without the roller tip so i think were goin try them is there anything you can do with furl preasure regulator or throttle body to help? they dont allow any mods supose to be stock motor lol but if it has GM stamped on it sounds like oem part to me!
Bob uses 2200 (98+) pistons. It puts your compression through the roof, so just keep the good gas in it.

Holley once made TBI units with a larger bore & adjustable FPR for 4-cyl apps that were a direct bolt-on... Maybe you can find one of those & give it a try.
Go beyond the "bolt-on".
that would be awesome.....now where do i start looking for something like that....haha
