They can hold over 400 horsepower with proper driving. It's mainly wheel hop that kills 'em. If I recall, the Hahn Racecraft Sunfire was in the 11's on stock axles.

it all depends on the driver. i was running almost 300hp on stock axles, and once i get the car back, ill let you know how the hold up to even more. although i plan on carrying a spare set with me.... just in case... haha
Unlike Honda's, our axles are pretty tough. Stock Honda axles look like spaghetti strings compared to ours!!!! I was at Import Face-Off 2009 at National Trail Raceway in Hebron, Ohio and there were AT LEAST half-a-dozen various Honda cars that broke their axles that day.

Fetter uses stock axles and he is at 550 hp and there are plenty others over 400 hp using them. Make sure you dont have ANY wheel hop as stated earlier, that is the easiest way to kill them.
i broke both my axles on 220 whp and i have a full koni suspension and had no wheel hop.. it was two different times andf both times it was shifting 1 to second just heard a snap....
