Who would be interested in a 2.2L Ecotec turbo exhaust manifold? Log style manifold.
Stainless or mildsteel?
Stainless would be TIG welded, mild steel would be MIG welded.
Head exhaust flange would be stress cut, and surfaced flat after welding, to releave any stress.
What flange would you want?

Performance Parts For Cavalier, Sunfire, Cobalts and More!!!
Might find better feed back in the boost section instead of performance section. But to weigh your options, atomic just released his 2 styles of top mount with dp for a hell of a price, fetter makes custom equal length for auto and manual, and then hahn has a log style that has a long good running reputation. and when it comes down to it, if its not $100 j people wont want to pay for it. thats just how they are. but im interested to see what you can come up with.
vince I love how you lump all 40k members into one bunch on here. I'm sure there is someon here willing to buy quality manifold.

I've got the old E-bay welded log-style manifold, and its been heavily reworked. But if it ever has a catastrophic failure, or I outflow it to the point that it becomes a restriction, I would be interested in a high-quality log manifold.

well since im a auto i had to get a custom manifold for mine .......so maybe look into something thats not just log style for us auto people across all motors
RIP JESSE GERARD.....Youll always be in my thoughts and prayers...

there may be someone. some one. not many at all. he said even for the intake manifolds for a 2200 they need 5 people with $500. everyone will say they want it, when its time for the $, they all cant do it. so yes. out of 40K people 99% of them are cheap and want it for $100 or they wont want it at all. thats honestly how it is. and if the people that do want to spend the money for good amount of power, they dont want a log style. call me wrong but thats how its been for a long time now. look at all the bigger hp guys... not running log style. and everyone else goes hahn, or saab, or a cheaper log style. props for wanting to make another manifold thats fine. not dogging that at all. but id make sure there is a market for them to justify all the leg work and not have to sit on stock that you cant sell.
I tAke that back, 10-16 people with $500 for 2200's

i just present the COLD HARD FACTS. you can deny j body people are all cheap all you want. but when it comes time to throw money down, everyone disappears.

the people that are willing to pay, go for a full manifold instead of log style.

were doing the build on my eco looking for upwards of 300 hp. i have the vulcan log style tbo mani payed like 4 something for it, ive had it for about 3 months now because when i went to install the thing it wouldnt fit because the turbo was to big... So now were trying to figure out wtf im gonna do when the motors done in a couple weeks... i have a smaller garrett but, am told it wont handle the power... not my post, but throwing it out there..

I'd pay $100 for a manifold hahaha.
But he is right, when I did a feeler for the parts on my car, people were still trying to haggle with me on severely reduced prices on all my parts. 99% of Jbody owners are broke ass mofo's who work at tacobell to afford their altezza's and neon lights.
lol, i still think that saying 99% is going a little extreme, there are alot of nice j's on here, with alot of nice parts.
there are also alot of ricers.
but really now, can we stop complaining about how j owners are cheap and let this mans interest thread continue in peace?

99% of the 40,000 is 39,600, so yes the additional 400 are the ones who pay quality.
and they are the ones who wont want a log style.
but do continue, id love to see the outcome.
So you mean to tell me im @!#$en cheap broke ass mofo because I have a log manifold???!!!!!! Give me a break!!! Its alot different when you still live with your parents then when you have your own house a wife and a baby!!! When I built and boosted my cav a few years ago I didn't know anything about the turbo header manifolds until last year.. And i think i make pretty good power on my broke ass cheap mofo log manifold!!!! And i also did not cheap out on anything that I did to my cav. Does that also mean im a cheap broke ass mofo because I do all of my own work??!! Instead of spending more money and have someone do the work for me??!!!

i never said you did. hell im still running a log manifold even. but if you were in the market to spend what this is going to cost, are you going with a log manifold? or would you rather go with an equal length turbo manifold? you went with what you could at the time. so did i. i did not know fetter could make equal length turbo headers. the only way to have got one was custom made. so now thats my next step. log manifolds get it done but there is room for improvement there. i never said log manifolds are "broke ass cheap" like you did. i just simply said that people who want to make big power and spend the money to do so, knowing the options out there now, would rather have an equal length. i do my own work to. its called saving money and experience. for numbers im shooting for, i will need a new manifold. now that i know who makes them, options have expanded big time. ive been quoted $250 to replicate my log manifold, and got quotes for max up to $300. even an atomic full length top mount is $625 and would yeild better results than a log manifold. does it mean you are cheap for going for a log manifold? no. like i said, i have one. but i reiterate....
when it comes down to the end and time to pay, people dont have the money or they want it done for $100 or less. that is how it goes down.
no i wouldn't be interested in a log style manifold, even when i do swap to a turbo. question answered.

Ok its cool.. When I read all of this and seen all of well j owner's are cheap broke ass mofo's and so on it kinda made me mad.. Maybe after we get our septic system taken care of and find a new job later on. I may re due my setup and go with the header type manifold.. I almost got one a few months ago but when we had our baby we had to pay alot of bills. So that put it on hold for awhile so I just upped the boost alittle more. And decided to let it alone and drive it when I have the time..
vince - point being log manifolds will handle everything the normal J owner will throw at it in boost. The only people needing an equal length header are the ones like me who will go all out. But even for the time being I'm going with a log style because I have it....
J owners are concerned about money, and most are very young and still in school... I think you need to realize that the more options we have, the better.. people will pay for what they want period... I dont understand why you enjoy tossing 90% of the threads you post in, into the trash can... grow up... and post useful positive info
