Hey fellows, I have a 2000 sunfire with a bad 2.2. I have now got myself a 2001 2.2 out of another sunfire. I'm now wondering if these are different and what I would need to do to make this swap work properly? Do any of you guys in know, know? I appreciate the feedback as I need to get this out of my shop and back on its way. Take care, Kris

I couldnt locate a match by doing a search however I was able to locate this in the FAQ's...

2001: Engines remain the same as the 2000 model year.

is this true? if so I'm happy however I thought I had previously read somewhere they were different with some stuff?

I just want to make sure before pulling it all down and doing any prev maintence to the newer 2.2..
