I am going with the H.O. cams, and LAFNGAS spoiled my fun and said the stock injectors will lean out past 4000 rpm, so I was thinking going with Ford browntop injectors, seeing as I work at Ford lol....anyways........question is do I need anything done to run these in? I know pre-99 people are saying 2 bar map, and some saying mod the fuel rail, and some saying just tune it with HP tuners. I know some of you guys have great setups, but I would love to stay N/A for this beast as I have done too much as it is, I plan on getting wideband soon to help tune, and going with the 2.3 p/s pump (not by choice) lol.
I have been on this site a while to know to search but doesn't help that so many different answers for one subject, grrr lol. Anyways my 99 is the part of the year with no egr, and the more expensive of the 2 strut mounts if that helps, shes built but needing cams and planning to maybe do something with oil pump after I get a gauge to tell me whats going on

i searched and alot of people say there is no need for mods i belive they said 2000 and up wont work but 99 and lower it will go right in the factory place and plug right into the factory harness...the only thing would be to get a larger fuel pump which they have a swap thread from some year 4.3 blazer
2 bar map is for boosted applications, so your 1 bar is fine.
99 had both low imp and high imp injectors, find something like the s/c 310's or use the green top 440's but with the 440's you will need to swap the connectors going onto the injector from the harness
If your stock injectors are the skinny ones then I would get either some GM 310cc injectors, or cobalt SS/SC stock injectors. SS/SC can usually be had for $30-50.

Take a picture of the rail showing the harness plug and we can tell you for sure. I have a 99 but have the 00+ injectors, I have the lsj 36# injectors with stock harness.
