Oh, and my piston specs are 9:1 CR with a .040" overbore and valve pockets.
A .074" thick headgasket will also be used to aid in lowering the final CR a bit. I've calculated my CR to be aprox. 10.1:1, then boost ontop of that..should make for a nice ride with ass loads of torque
W41!.....THIS BOY!!!!....dam....I guess the popular thing this year is W41 cams...not HO cams anymore. Let me know what gasket you are going with so i can get one too...since I plan to boost soon. But for now Im just gonna tune her N/A until I get some good quality turbo parts.

YOU KNOW IT!! First i'm going to clean up the spatter, and welds before anything. Possibly do a couple more passes on some areas that look a tad weak.

Jw, are the 44mm v-band tial wg's shorter than the regular 38mm? It may be just me but they look shorter for some reason, and thought I read somewhere that tial made a small 44mm for tight spaces and what not.

I know Tial released a new 38mm that is smaller but i haven't heard anything about a new 44mm. Just for shizits and giggles i'll post a couple comparison pictures either tomorrow or monday. All depends if i decide to get off my lazy ass and finish welding up my catch cans at the shop lol.

The pile of parts lol...yeah, i know...my office is cluttered lol..i'll get around to it lol
and it seems that there is NO HEIGHT differenece between the 38mm and 44mmV-Band, BUT there is a WIDTH difference!

I managed to wake my ass up (1:30 in the after noon lol) to come work on some stuff since engine drop in week is comming really fuggin quick!
I'm hoping to finish up my catch can today
and i cleaned up the insides of the ports on the header since they were full of welding spatter
and i also did a little grinding on the welds that were on the outside.
that's all for now. I'm currently in contact with some people about stiffer springs for a set of cams ground at .430 224 (yeah, and you though W41 were lopey!) ...mmm, 8,000RPM will be declicious..
Damn there are going to be some 500whp Cavis out this year, nice buildup Thrice, what turbo are you going with? My 2.3/2.4 hybrid is almost done, I'm waiting on my 224/430 cams from ron now, I just got my Bosch 1000cc high impedance injectors and clips and my ebay 2.5" aluminum IC charge pipe kit. Once the machineshop is done with the machine work, balancing and assembly I'll be good to go. I still have to get my LS1 tb adapter welded to my HO intake then send it out to be Extrude Honed and I have to get my cam towers bored out for the 35mm lifters and send my header and exhaust housing Jethot coated.
