cams, full exhaust, pulleys would be a good start

do whatever you want to do. but a few suggestions:
1) stop making so many god damn posts.
2) In the performance, boost and nitrous sections there are FAQs (frequently asked questions) that explain what certain mods do, and what you can expect from them, and about how much they cost. I suggest you READ THEM.
3) pick up some car magazines. Project Car Tuner magazine, and Turbo magazine are good places to start to learn stuff to get into modding.
easiest place to start would be an intake but if you don't have an idea on how to make your car faster you have no business doing so.
wat a n00b question.
people like this piss me off, cause i spend hours online finding out that exact same information ALL BY MYSELF
STOP BEING LAZY AND RESEARCH
Then you can ask intelligent questions, instead of "how do i go fast?"
Forge the block for the boost to come,
forge internals.
Lower compression.
cams.
lifters,
valve springs
headgasket.
Ignition upgrade
bigger injectors,
lightweight pulleys,
lose weight,
driver mod,
oh and a damn good tune.
research all those and you will never have to make a thread like this again
Forge the block? WTF? You really are an idiot.
Youve never heard of anyone cryoing or forging the engine block? Then again, I wouldnt expect someone with an intake and engine mounts to know much past basic bolt ons, lol.
Have fun with your hopes and dreams of making it into the 11's with 400hp on a supercharger. You do realize the fastest s/c cobalt on cobaltss.net is on a tvs and wishes he had 400hp

..what? is that before or after adding NOSSSSSSS?
last I checked, to increase the strength of aluminum blocks, their sleeves are machined out and are replaced (usually with kits provided by darton) with nodular iron sleeves.
the benefit is two fold; upgraded sleeves are usually much thicker, allowing for increases in bore size... and are made of a much harder alloy.
trying to regurgitate stuff you read from magazines while sitting on the sh!tter doesn't make you smart.. and definitely doesn't give you the right to talk smack.

So you think you know more than me? Silly little faggot.
Im sure you know that the eco is a sleeved engine and the block is good to 1000+hp. But wtf do i know, i only have an intake and engine mounts. Not to mention a $2000 suspension and have only owned the car for a year. I must be retarded.
Hmmm, i wonder if the $2k suspension is the reason i dont have any more engine mods.........
Plus 400whp(s/c) is attainable if you know what your doing(you obviously dont). I do have few tricks up my sleeves(a few JBOers know). No i wont tell, you just have to wait like a good idoit until i post my build.
Thats all for now.
Ok fine, I make one mistake and the forum jumps on me. Ill admit I was wrong, BUT you can cryo the motor. I was thinking about something else.
Here is where I will settle all these disputes against me.
If you go through and look, most of you got annoyed at me somewhere down the line, but mostly, because you would try and tell me all this stuff I already know, instead of just straight answering the question I had, You think you have to go all into detail, and you dont with me, just simple plain jane answer will do.
Now the bull@!#$ comments that are coming up, you guys are being hypocritical. I get mad for a reason, because people decide they are gonna tell me something I know or call me an idiot, instead of answering my question. You get mad because I got mad at you and it starts one big circle.
STOP NOW, Im not even @!#$ joking around, dont hold a @!#$ grudge from thread to thread. If I make a mistake, fix it, If I have a question, answer it. Dont bull@!#$ a bull@!#$ter.
I know a lot of the stuff it takes to get to 400 hp, there is basically nothing stock about the block anymore once youre done.
Oh and tinkles, I hope for the sake of all that is holy, that you dont have your car bagged once you go for 400hp. hahaha. and you realize that the apostrophe in your sig, should be in front of the 09, right?
So we should conform to you the almighty Dustin. God forbid that someone mentions something that you "know". Just STFU and say thank you.
FYI Skunk was making 350ish whp on a L61 with a STOCK bottom end.. Cobalt guys make 400whp on LSJ with the STOCK bottom end. Keep trying to sound like your smarter than me and FYI when i do swap the LE5/L61(ooooppps, thats impossible right???) the cav will be on a set of Teins.
Keep spreading your "knowledge"....

"idoit"? eh
Yes, I am fully aware people make that power on the stock bottom end, but I also know, that its not safe, and it could destroy itself at any moment.
oh and imposs
ible is spelt with an i. lol.
I didnt say I knew everything, Im just saying you acted like a jerk when you tried to tell me "uh, you know you need more than a supercharger, right"
Wow you guys got off topic really qiuck, lol. And the forum isnt for bashing eachother, could you please do that on aim or something?
Someone mention forging the block, not possible but there is a place i believe in illinois called 300 below, they cryo treat anything. In terms of metal, its like having a higher grade metal. obviously its not quite as good, but it isnt half bad either. and they seriously treat anything.
horsepower is the force that determines at what speed you hit the wall, torque is the force that determines how far you take the wall with you after you hit it.
I never said that, idoit.
I like how the only way you can "insult" me is my picking out spelling mistakes. Premy FTW.
I dont insult people over the internet, it makes no sense, I just dont allow people to say stuff about me, especially since you guys keep continuing this argument
I am no longer going to continue, recall, or whatever about this fight anymore.
Its like it didnt exist, I will still continue to talk to you if need be.

has to be fast already u said u have HEADERS .....what u got a 8 cyl ecotec under the hood j/k man...........just wanted to be a smart ass lol.....
try a header with equal lenght tubes. about 1.25 primarys and about 20 inch lenght with about a 2.5 to 2.75 collector. It might add some lower end and mid range torque. It might make your car a bit quicker.
^^^^^^^ lawl... kinda reminds me of this:
not u though tinkles. i know for a fact u have a wealth of knowledge on J's but just get annoyed of the same questions being asked over and over.
"still want to smash that like the fist of an angry god"
1.25" is tiny, pacesetter's L61 primaries are 1.5", and pacesetter's LSJ primaries 1.75".
have you ever seen how big the primary's are for a v8? In most cases if your going to have a high reving car fat and short are better but for lower reving long and skinny are better for torque. I could have read that wrong but I do know that I've read it on more then one site. I really dont think the primarys need to be as big as they are for the pacesetter. They should give more options but they make them from cookie cutters so I guess their all about the same. I'm not saying they wouldnt be great for higher rpm's I think they would. But if you want to keep your power band closer to stock becuase you have no major engine mods then skinny and long would be a better choice in my opinion.
brody I have headers they are not TSUDO but they look like em I got em at ebay Stainless steel will those work???
