Locating Fuel Pressure Guage on Stock Eco Rail
Monday, December 08, 2008 3:06 PM
I have a few stupid mods I'm working on over winter including bigger injectors and a polished stock fuel rail. I want to put a gauge on the rail to make adjusting my FMU easier. Im thinking about tapping the forward facing nub that sticks out between the 2nd-3rd injector on the rail (1/8 npt) then putting a 90 on it had have the gauge face directly up. That or tap down directly on top of the rail (between 1st and 2nd) I am just a little worried there isn't enough metal to tap strait into if I go that route. I could also always mount the gauge on the actual fuel line but I would prefer it on the rail.

What are everyone's thoughts?

Here is a pic of the stock rail for reference.

tapping the nub and using the 90* is probably your best bet

plenty of material there
