yeah....mantapart has a catalog full of nice products.....whether or not they will ever get to you is another question.

Mantapart was technically forced out of business by a lawsuit last year. At least, they were ordered to pay back a bunch of debts to pissed off customers and that was pretty much the final nail in the coffin for them. They sold pretty much all remaining inventory, which wasn't much since he didn't keep a lot of parts in stock and ready to rock. - As evidenced by his piss poor reputation.

BTW, for anyone who doesn't know - Mantapart is/was a 1 man operation in a barn. At peak I think they had 2 employees.

Damn, their site has pretty fresh update... I wonder if he's trying to get back on his feet...

Maybe because there's not a lot of decent history involving Mantapart?

The only way I would buy parts from him was if I lived in Ohio and I could go drive to his house. We had a group from the Beretta forum do this back in 2007 to collect parts that had been ordered OVER 2 YEARS AGO.

Blwn LD9 you should start becoming a reseller. I know a lot of people want things from manta, but I will never do business with them directly again. It took years...not months to get my parts.
COD and nothing less.

so yea..i just emailed mantapart over the weekend, asking if they had any of their 60mm quad throttle bodys left..told them i was interested in one if it wouldnt take long to get one - they cost 300
i got an email back same day....
they said i dont need a throttle body, that the intake manifold was a bigger restriction and that i should buy their 400$ extrude honed manifolds first..stating that the intake mani was more of a restriction than the throttle body....
now, not that i really car what manta says much but anyone ever come across this? the TB being able to flow more than the mani??

Re: Mantapart
Monday, September 08, 2008 10:24 AM
I dunno.....but why dont you just send your mani to extrude hone and not have to deal with manta??

http://www.extrudehone.com/auto/auto-performance.php

there is a link to thier store in which they also mention group purchase capabilities....

just so you know.

Back when I still had my Sunfire, I wanted their camber plates, but I heard so much bad crap about them that I never ordered them, even though the plates were just the thing I needed to get my car aligned for time attack.

Ok, I just shot Mantapart an email, heres a copy of what I sent:
"Why is there so much negative talk about your company? I've heard everything from defective parts(and seen photos), to not getting parts for over a year after ordering. I've even heard that you had gone out of business, yet your website is dated 8/26/2008. I've even heard that there is only 1 employee, and that you operate out of a barn. Why do I always hear this, and is there any truth to what I have heard. I just want to hear your side."
