Hello everyone. I am a new member just joined tonight. Bought my 1997 Sunfire GT about 2 weeks ago and loving it. The question I have after reading some other posts is. . . . I bought a AEM Short Ram Intake for my 2.4l manual and was wondering if I should Install it as is or mod it to use the stock air box after freeing up its air flow ( has K&N high flow panel filter) . The stock box would bring in colder air but the AEM would have more air flow. So I guess my real question is Air flow or Cold air? Any other ideas would be great. I can do most things my self as I do have experince but I am limited to what my toold can do. (only power tool I have is a drill so no metal fab or cutting unless its with a hack saw)
thanks for the help guys and if I posted this in the wrong area let me know
Cold-air box with corigated flexible hose fresh-air ducting leading to ports in the front fascia to collect head-wind air as the car's moving forward down the road. Might be a bit of work, but well worth it.
Go beyond the "bolt-on".
