I had a guy tried telling me this was an RK Sport header for the 2.4 I am just trying to make sure so I am not being ripped off even though I'm pretty sure its not cause RKSport was a 4-2-1 header and ceramic coated I believe......anyone know? to me looks no-name
To me it looks like a painted OBX style header

looks right to me. pre 98 i believe since it has the EGR port
RK made 4-1 much like that style, and they are also the farkwads known for putting the O2 sensor on 1 exhaust port rather than after they've all collected... Nothing like having cylinder 4 be fine and cylinder 1 going sahara desert lean and not having a damn clue.

Yea that looks like the older rk 4-1 style, was that the used one that was selling on ebay?

He asked you on j-body or he's local to you? There was one looked just like that on ebay also listed as an rk. It doesnt realy look painted, it just looks like old ceramic coating which the rk headers were. I actualy thought about getting it cause I wanted a 4-1 and to get rid of my stans header, but Ive got other plans now.
It'll help your engine breathe a little better, but will also make your exhaust raspy as hell without a resonator.
Its an old school Rk Sport with a terrible o2 location
so is everyone agreeing that this is a bad header to buy? because of the location of the O2 sensor?

u can always block it off and cut it in down lower i mean if the deal is cheap enough and u can weld.

I have only told people it is an RK because that is what I bought it as.. I'm new to all the J-body stuff, if someone tells me it is an RK that is what I assume it is. I have looked for any indication that it is a specific brand and I can not find any badges or markings of any sort.
And IceMike, no it has never been listed on Ebay as far as I know..
dude understand this if someone was buying a part from someone that was told(but not sure) it was a certain brand, anyone would either findout for themselves by researching, or say they did not want it, Its that simple I was not aware that someone would think I was trying to be a jerk or w/e, when you invest money into a car I'm sure you want to know what you are getting and if it would work or not. Common sence says if you don't know something then ask, and thats what I did, but your pretty new also, so I can't expect you to understand these forums. People on here for the most part(the serious ones) know what they are buying and know if to use it.

Maybe I must have missed something, but when did this guy blast you? He just wanted to make sure he was getting a good part. Never did I once read the guy calling you out for lack of info or for being a dick or something which you definitely seem to be.

Dude you seriously need to take a chill pill.
First off He did not mention your name so we would not have even known it was you selling it if you had not opened up your mouth.
Secondly Why are you getting worked up over it. It is still worth what you are asking for it. As said before if somone does not feel comfortable with the location of the 02 sensor that hole can be plugged and a new bung welded in at the collector.
Thirdly There is nothing wrong with him trying to find info on the part he is considering buying.
It is still a good header in many ways. It is good quality not a cheap knockoff like OBX brand and it is ceramic coated. It is still going to flow waaaayyy better than the stock peice.

Sorry if I came off as a dick, My Aunt died yesterday and it has been a really messed up day..
I'm selling it because I had originally thought the car I bought had a 2.4 in it, so when I had the opportunity to buy a header for a good price I took advantage of it. When I bought the car I found out it has a 2.2 in it, not a big deal, but I have no use for it. I figured if I could help someone else out
by extending a good price to them that I would do so..
Now for the rest of you guys...
I appreciate the fact that you guys see it from a different angle. I have just been having a bad day and should have never gotten on line knowing that, I owe you all an apology.
