i plan on getting my exhaust done in the next few weeks and it will be a full custom setup. pacesetter header, magnaflow high flow cat, and dual magnaflow street series mufflers. i will be doing 2.25 from the header back, the mufflers have 2.25 inlets and ill be getting the cat with 2.25 in and out. only questions I have is should i consider putting in a small flex pipe since basically everything will be welded. and my pther question, whats the best way to proceed from the header. which is designed to do custom work to the existing system and bolt up, and all the original pipe will be replaced?
cut the flange off the pipe leading to the cat and cut it out for 2.25 pipe?
or something else?

Unless you're great at welding and patient with hanging the exhaust, take it to a reputable shop and have it installed professionally. Yes the flex pipe is a good idea.
If you're set on doing it yourself, start from the header and work your way to the back. Check all you're clearances before welding anything up.
yes start from front and go back. even though im turbo mine is set up like so...
downpipe, flange, flex pipe, 2.5" section of pipe, 28" resonator, Section of pipe to the axle, flange, pipe, muffler, pipe, tip.
is the flange you got on the piece of flex pipe from the stock exhaust?

no you can buy just the flange and you will need a gasket for that flange you can get whatever size you want from any exhaust shop or even parts store like pepboys or what ever you got where u live

nope when you buy a flex pipe, thats all you get, in all i had to buy 4 flanges w/ copper gaskets.
ok cool. i hope the exhuast shop that ive been going to for my other cars has some flanges. i really hope they have one that will bolt up to the pacesetter header.
