first of all i got the auto matic : whats the litmits on this without spending any money to beef it up
EcotecSupercharger: can i add on the cobalts staged kits or will these not work outside of the Lsj engine i'd think stage one would be the limits if it even makes it that far
so the idea is im looking at puttting the factory supercharger kit and the stage one kit after that im not intrested in a turbo and wanna keep it as close to daily driver and basically wanna know where im expecting issues to happen between the engine and transmisson
therically i was looking at something like 250 hp and 230 lbs but i know thing arean't always acurette
to get 250 whp with the auto trans is basically going to be pushing the car to its LIMITS/Beyond possibly with the auto trans since less power is put down to the ground from an auto trans than a manual. The stage kits are all compatible with your car.....now if your car will be able to handle the stage kits, is a different story. People On this forum are running 77.9 mm pulleys but each car is different. I personally daily drive my car about 300 miles each weekend on the stock pulley and with that much mileage that is the limit I will go boost wise. However with cooling mods you can play with timing to make more power as well which is a bit easier on the motor than more boost.
i figured maybe 250 at the crank i know the conecting rods are suspect at that range and so are the clutches in the transmission but i thought maybe bringing everything to the stage one level plus the extra displacement would be safe for daily driving id be running the intercooler and basically the same thing as the cobalt
well according to the GM book it states that with coldair kit, header and full exausht you sould be in that realm.
again this Gm not me.
don't want to thread jack but how often do these cars need plugs? Its been three years just wondering
also to the guy getting the charger beware of Bad gas. i got F&*&(ked with a bad batch can ruin you week.
