I have a '99 sunfire, 2.2L engine that is stock. All i want to know are some things that can make it go faster. Now fast because i realize that i wont pull 150 hp from no where but just to make it a little faster. plus im on a student budget (read:little money) I have thought about short ram intakes new exhaust and the like but i want your opinion.

Search here and read everything related to the 2.2L/2200. Also search under LN2. There is so much here for that engine that has been found & found-out by guys like MadJack & Notec & Slowolej, you won't no where to begin. To which I suggest obeying the K.I.S.S.-rule (Keep it simple, stupid!). Good luck!


Go beyond the "bolt-on".

Nickelin Dimer's got it right. Do a quick search on your engine type and you should find a whack of the most popular mods/upgrades pop up. It will be pretty easy to pick one (or two) options in your price range because on a student budget it'll narrow them down in a hurry (read: HP costs $$$).
