OK. So far i have Cold Air intake, 2.25 in Cat Back Exhaust. I'm looking into P + P next. Besides the header replacement, what else can i do to increase my performance N/A style? Are motor mounts somewhat cheap / and or easy to install or do i need a lot of mechanical knowledge for that? And, are they worth it? Discuss! GO!
na wont really see over 150hp best to throw on a turbo and run 5psi. ttr sells mounts from like 100 each (top and bottom) and poly mounts are like 60 for the top insert and bottom mount. but mounts are good and very easy to install.
well the main reason why i'm not running boost on it is because i don't really have a ton of mechanical knowledge and even getting a kit is way out of my price range for modding at this time. Even if i were to build a set up from parts and such, i still have no way of installing it, otherwise i would have gone boost a while ago. I figure N/A is the safest route in terms of money, sure i won't see numbers like boost or juice but it will be more cost effective.
you can do a P+P, 1.6:1 roller rockers, header, as you said. MSD Ignition (not really any hp there, I have it and figured it was a good compliment to everything else i have done.) you can also get the 56mm (or custom bored) throttle body out of a 2.3 HO motor, which will bolt up with minor modification.
You can do a cam, overbore, really anything that you can do to any other n/a motor. there are pistons available for this motor. patriot performance makes a PP head for the motor. Crane/comp cams/ will have roller rockers, or can do a custom cam grind for the motor as well.
Motor mounts will help recover lost torque,, theyre easy to install yourself, just need 2 jacks (what i used), basic tools, and a friend around to help is always nice.
for OHV help on this site, OHVNotec, MadJack, and a few others i cant remember right now (sorry guys, I dont remember your usermanes, but DO respect your knowledge) have tons of information posted on these motors. However, searching for stuff will net you the fastest, flame free responses.

cool. yea i mean i want to stay N/A if possible. I just don't want to try and deal with all of that extra crap with boost or worry about blowing stock parts with juice. I'd rather replace stuff a little bit at a time and create less of a blow on my wallet and not destroy my engine.
