Timing issues/distributor option????
Tuesday, April 22, 2008 12:29 PM
So I am a little new to the whole boosting and messing with timing. I know that people here have been using an MSD set-up and that is a costly alternative to adjust the timing. I was wondering if anyone here has done or tried to use a distributor off of an older 2.0 or 2.5 and put it in place of the oil pump drive? I know that the depth and the gear look very close and I am thing of trying this unless someone has already tried and it won't work

any further ideas or input would be appreciated.

I believe that MSD sells a direct bolton distrubutor for the saturn eco. Should be an option for us as well. Drive it off the intake cam.
