umm its thae same, no real
difference
looks to me, if you want that exact exhaust, its a polished magnafow muffler and stainless piping.
but,the factory toyo cavs came with the same exhaust as stateside.

i know where you can get that exhaust. its made by Blitz but they are discontinued. i know where they have three new but they cost a pretty penny. and its only available in japan. i tried to talk to blitz in USA and they told me they where not going to make anymore and were only offered in Japan.
Really? Any idea on how much it'd cost to get it over here? Since the car is a toyota, shouldn't it be TRD exhaust, and shouldn't I be able to get it from a toyota dealer?
I've you want I'll buy a magnaflow catback, polish it, put a TRD sticker on the muffler and charge you 4 times the price.... let me know if your interested.
That doesn't look to me like a magnaflow muffler, I already have a magnaflow muffler on stock piping, doesn't look anything like that.
yeah what that guy said....because magnaflow only makes one muffler....just one....thats it....and its the one he has

the point is why are you trying to piss away money just to have the TRD label, with all the muffler options and or exhaust tips, places that can do custom setups, etc... there is absolutely no reason throw your money down the drain for an extremely overpriced catback exhaust form Japan that you'll be lucky if you gain 5 hp from. Its stupid spend a @!#$ load of money for nothing just so you can have the JDM/TRD part.
hey well you are at it can you have them ship over a skyline for me
By the way, I'll take a soarer when you get the skyline.

its not a TRD Exhaust, the only thing TRD made for the Cavalier was a body kit and performance is the loweing Springs and TRD didnt produce them they just sold them. the springs were made by RSR and you can get RSR springs through RSR. That Exhaust system that you see on the web link is Made by BLITZ. honestly what Darkstars said is it really worth the 5hp that you might gain? if i was to get it, it would only be for being Unique and maybe car shows or just a personal satisfaction. my car is being converted JDM im trying to get everything from the Toyota cavalier and no i dont want to buy a Toyota Cavalier i want to convert mine. im also putting other Jdm parts from TRD.
wow...a shiny muffler and some stainless piping. OMG that's so JDM lol. This is sad
IT IS JDM IF ITS MADE BY A JAPANESE COMPANY AND ITS ONLY AVAILABLE IN JAPAN. I DONT SEE THE SAD PART ABOUT IT. HONESTLY IT ALL COMES DOWN TO PERSONAL PREFERENCE.
I can't find it on the blitz website, somone post a linky?

ugh, its only BADGED as Toyota, its not a freaking toyota vehicle. GM built them all over here as well as all those 'jdm' parts off them. the ONLY one's that had ANYTHING to do with Toyota/TRD were the 50 TRD Toyota Cav's.
I know that, and that was why I wanted it, I was debating making a TRD Clone
why not buy an actual one?
IIRC streetline still has their's for sale, definatly expensive for a cavalier, but hell... id pay that much for it if i had the extra cash.

so by your logic....if it's only available in japan, but you still get the part....then it's technically not only available in japan and therefore is not JDM
did i get that right?

Anything can be shipped. He even said "I DONT SEE THE SAD PART ABOUT IT." Selling a product that was only (or mainly) produced and distributed in Japan makes it JDM (Japanese Domestic Market) by default. I doubt he is arguing that.

"Youth in Asia"...I don't see anything wrong with that.
I didn't want to buy one, because I wanted to have a 5 speed and do an engine swap, but i wanted it to look just like the JDM Cavalier body-wise. Does anyone know of a company that imports cars from japan? I wouldn't mind having a toyo cav 2.4Z as a project car....
why spend all that effort that really sounds stupid if your want most TRD parts go to your local GM dealership as the Toyota Cavalier was made in Ohio and a Chevy pant......So why go through Toyota? they can't really give you much either then a cheap exhaust..... look up this site it shall maybe brighten your day.

I wonder how long that baby blue paint lasted on that exhaust?
i was thinking the same thing Lenko when i first saw that
