Anyone know where I can get upgraded bolts for the upper engine mount?
I severed one of my bolts with the TTR mount installed.
So I wanted to get in on some stronger bolts.
Emailed ARP, and its not a common stock item.
So if anyone did an upgrade can direct me to where you picked them up you have my thanks.
My engine will thank you too.

how did this happen.... and no i have no clue where to get upgraded ones.
just go buy stock ones again, doesnt it tell you to replace those bolts once removed, maybe that was the prob even tho ive always reused those bolts. only had broke one once but that was cuz i was only using one to hold the mount(other was stripped from some jackass) and hit a nice pot hole on the way home
Wrench: It took some time. But I think between all the start/stops with the A/C over the summer. All the lovely Baltimore roads. The wonderful speed humps that are in EVERYONE's parking lots these days. The thing just severed close to the bolt head.
Gman: I'm building a stockpile from bolts from the yards around here. And have an extractor kit for if it happens again.
But I'll call up ARP and see what it will take to get bolts made up.
May have to get quite a few of them made. In which case I'll let folks know and offer them up or something.

Stock is fine. you are supposed to replace them because they stretch when you tighten them. thats the point of them. its not the TTR mount. Its just the bolt structure.

ya they are called torqued to yeild. same with flywheel bolts. when tightened for the first time they stretch and are supposed to become more of locked in to not come out, taking them out and doing it over and over will ruin them, hence they recommend or say must be replaced with new bolts once removed

I know.
But I was referencing it, so folks know exactly what was on the car when it happened.
Either way, we'll see what Arp says.
Thanx,
