i know all of us hate this ideal but it would be an awsom power match what if you took a f0rd sho 3.0l v6 engine and pcm and transplante it in to a 2 door cavalier it would be the ultimate sleeper 220 whp v6 no one would see you coming but they will shure seeyour tail lights.
any thoughts or ideals will it work ford engins in a chevy ide have to call it a dodge
and yes im a ricer lol
Are we both looking at the same picture? It looks like it barely fits in a taurus, how do you expect it to fit in a Cav?
Just swap in a GM 3400 V6 and call it a day. It's a fairly easy swap and has far more potential than a streeted fwd compact car can handle.

"Youth in Asia"...I don't see anything wrong with that.
that wasnt my point it's a conceptial ideal would it work
i have seen dozens of 3400 swaps all gm motors ok it's a cavalier a gm product
im not doging any one or any build iv seen they all look nice i just want to do something different
than someone else has done
i can pick up a 3.0 v6 sho with transmission and linkage for around $750.00 and me going to pick it up if not ill probably find some other use
Wanna do something different? Learn to use punctuation! Then learn what it takes to put a GM 3.4L DOHC V-6 under your hood. And leave the SHO engine for the Fox-body, Maverick, Pinto-'Stang & Falcon-'Stang builders, huh?
Go beyond the "bolt-on".
General rule of thumb- you have to ask if it can be done= you won't be doing it. Noone will have a "how-to" on this.

Now with northstar V8, IRS, 20's n 22's
Unless you already have some serious fabrication background, your car is just going to end up as scrap metal.
Besides, you don't want to have to maintain that motor...trust me.

Stop saying ideal when you mean to say idea. Using the correct words would be ideal.
Life > You.

Yeah, doing something as simple as plugs sucks on those things.
Very true. It's actually easiest to drop the subframe/tranny/motor when you need to do ANY work on that side of the motor.

A friend of mine does that too, but I have no idea how it starts. It's habit though, they can't change.

I miss the sound of my SHO when she hit 4400 RPM...
Anybody who has/had/ridden in a sho will second that notion....

Agreed, but 9000 sounds even better

I don't know why you would attempt this.
First of all, you have not seen 'dozens' of 3400 swapped cars. There are not 'dozens' of them out there.
The SHO is what I like to call "old". That engine came out in 1989. We are nearly 20 years later. You can get better mileage, and power from engines that currently run in cars. The SHO engine requires much more maintenance that just some regular ol' other engine. You're really just going to make yourself a huge money pit by doing the swap. If they don't get the 60k they'll start going down the drain fairly quick. All in all, you're just going to make a car that looks neat, but as far as driving it..... it's gonna be way less than impressive.

I will agree with that. But I know my 2.2 would sorta simulate that when I had the header on it. And the 3400 sounds the same when it's overloaded with fuel. You feel a definate powerband that way. Though, I know there's a different process on the SHO that makes it happen.
lol at 2.2 making sho noises.....
