I put a HO intake manifold on my ecotec and ever since then it has thrown a code about my idle air controler. anybody know why this could be caused? thanks
a bad IAC?
which intake manifold did you use? the 2.4 Eco mani?

Its either a vacuum leak, bad IAC, loose connection, or wiring problem. What is the EXACT code? If its high resistance/low resistance/short to ground/etc you're probably looking at abad IAC or wiring issue, and maybe pinched something putting everything back together. If its "out of limits" or "exceeded range" or something like that, its because you're computer sees that the IAC is at a higher/lower step count than it should be for a given MAP/TPS/RPM combination. Meaning you have a vacuum leak.

check your brake booster line also....I installed one for a buddy and same issue.
ignore all the suggestions...
its because there's no hole for the IAC valve
you have to drill a hole in the throttle body adapter plate..
be sure to mark where you need to do it on yours.. if you don't do it just right, you'll have a vacuum leak and a very high idle that you won't be able to fix unless you make your own throttle body adapter plate
^ Pretty much, yeah. How does the new manifold feel?
I'm hopefully getting one in a few months after I get a wideband and fuel pressure gauge installed for tuning purposes. I'm pretty sure PJ liked it.

Thanks for all your helps guys, I drilled the hole and it seems great now. it idles at 900 now and doesnt surge at all. I didnt see the post on where to put the hole until now i just gave it a rough guess but seems all good.
I got my car tuned before i fixed this problem. Does anyone think i shoudl get it redone? will it make a difference?
it shouldn't make a difference other than idle maps.. I say leave it as is and enjoy it
