3" Exhaust
Sunday, November 18, 2007 6:55 PM
I'm eventually looking to get myself a full 3" exhaust about the same time I'm going to get my turbo installed. On websites such as Carcustoms, RKSport, Gravana, etc. they all sell the cat-back and full exhaust systems, but some of them don't specify how large. Is it possible to get a 3" exhaust off of a site like those, already made, or is a 3" exhaust going to end up being custom made on our cars? Thanks.

it will have to be custom made. And remember when you boost you want the exhaust to as straight as possible. My 92 twin turbo stealth has only 1 45 degree bend and all the rest is straight

i know people do at all day, but i dont see how to fit a straight exhaust. doesnt it hang to low? im not going turbo(yet) but i am about to build my own exhaust.

Here is the 3" catback that I used. It was a pain to get in place over the rear axle but once it was in there its a really nice fit too. I am lowered and It doesnt rub. Youll still need a downpipe though.

Hopefully eventually around 350 whp. I know it's a big goal, but I'm not trying for a specific date, so I've got all the time in the world.

Zs Z, thanks a ton. That's pretty much what I was looking for. Thanks again.

Custom tubes price is really good, their product is also very nice since I've seen one first hand.

Actually, as long as you're having it custom made, you could do a side-exit through some new side skirts. It'd be a plus as far as minimal angles go and would look badass.
