What if any are the difference between an 02 and an 06 2.2L ecotec...

what car are you getting the 06 out of? im sure there is a difference

I just found out it's from an 06 Cobalt, waiting to hear it's a 2.2L or 2.4L eco. Thought it might good to build it up and then swap if it's not a lot of extra work. Mines a daily driver so it would be hard for me to build mine up. I was thinking it would make a good winter project.

that '06 Cobalt uses a 58x reluctor setup on the crank. you can use it, but it's going to require a lot of re-wiring and a standalone engine management system.

up to 2005 is the limit

and only the L61 2.2

you can use the others but you're going to have to run a stand alone ecu
