1998 2.2 Stock Headers work with 1997 2.2 Stock Headers

hello

i have 1997 cavalier 2.2 AND
i was wondering if i could use a 1998 to 2002 2.2 stock header on a 1997 2.2, the reson why is my old header are garbage and i dont wont to buy new one, so i was wondeing if i could use the 1998 to 2002 2.2 stock header. Do you guys thik it will work?

From what I've heard, the 2200 ports are a little bigger than the 95-97 headers, and the flange before the cat is different (2200 is weld on, 2.2 is bolt on)

2200 has larger intake ports, but smaller exhaust ports, so the manifold would probably be a restriction. Aftermarket headers are the same for both motors (unfortunately), but the stockers should be significantly different.
I would just hit up the junkyard for another 2.2L manifold, they wouldn't charge more than $10...

The 2200 exaust ports on the header are smaller and the 2.2. You can put it on, but might feel a little loss in power.
