02 Injector Length: X
03 Injector Length: Y
The 03 injectors are 80mm in length from end to end.
The 02 I have no idea because I dont have a spare 02 fuel rail.
Hope this helps a little.

if i remember i think there was about 1/4" or so difference
i had posted a pic at one time , dont know what happened to that pic
what exactly are you trying to do ?
Ive used Lucas injectors in the 03 rail with spacers and no leaks. If I recall the Lucas are the same length as the RC.
gotta use the spacers in the 03-05
when GM changed the fuel rail in 03 they moved it farther out , the 03-05 injectors are the same as the 99-02 2.4
the 02's were shorter
aaron you have that pic still ?
the difference between the 2002 and the 2003-2005 injectors is .250. Not sure on the length of each though...just the difference!
...here is a pic.

Eh...old man with a Corvette now...it was bound to happen sooner rather than later right?

they do if you remove the plastic spacers.

No, You have to keep the spacers.
lol I just did my motor swap and I had an 02. The new motor is an 04
In order to use my LSJ injectors The plastic Fittings need to be removed since the 03+ have the long skinny injectors opposed to the 02 l61 and the lsj injectors which are the shorter chunky injectors. They will not fit inside the spacer you need to remove it.
Are you using the 02 rail or 03? If its the 02 rail then yes you DONT need spacers. But the 03 rail and lsj injectors require the spacers and the lsj injectors are shorter than the 03's. I assume you are wording something wrong because I as well as many other know for a fact you cant use lsj injectors in an 03 rail with no spacers in the head.
My old ecotec with 03 rail and lsj injectors... I assure you there are spacers under there.
I agree with phlatcav on this one. I think what he could be saying is the 02 rail you can use the long injectors or short and it will bolt up.

yes I do have the 02 fuel rail my fault for any mis communication.
I was referring to the plastic that sits in the fuel injector opening on the 03+ motors. didn't mean to refer to fuel RAIL spacers.
