Removing a Resonator

If I remove a resonator on my girlfriend's 05 LS, will it sound any better than stock? Has anyone done this?

When I went to a 2 1/4 exhaust, I swapped the resonator for a 2 1/2 incher.
The reason being, the baffling take away about 1/4 inch, so go a 1/4 bigger.

Removing the resonator will make it louder, and more raspy.
Raspy in my opinion no good.

Just get a larger resonator.

Ok thanks, yeah rasy is no good at all. I can't stand the 4 cyliner buzz commonly associated with when you put a exhaust on them. They don't ALL do it, but the ones that do sound like total @!#$.
