i put on a 2.75" alumin intake to the air box where i then added the k&n filter also.

i plan on removing the bottom bong as well. but here is a picture of how it looks.

I have always thought that this might be the best way for performance. Since it does pull cool air from the fender well already. I would just remove the bong altogehter and stick a short peice of pipe down into the fender well so it still gets the cool air from there. Not bad but you really should clean that engine bay up sometime.

but isnt the reason people remove the stock tubing there is b/c its smaller, and restricts the air flow more?? this doesnt seem to me that it would be that much better. but props to you on making it look good. ive seen this done on a few local cars and they cut the stock air box all to hell and made it look like crap.

yes the hole thru the fender is pretty small. but my goal was to just make something in expenvise and look good and easy to remove. i also didnt want to hear to much sucking you get with open cone filters.with the air box you just keep it sounding close to quite.

thanks next im thinking about replacing the intake manifold its really oily.

does anyone puty catch cans on these engines?
