The catalog is almost a year old, so I would assume that some have already seen it. I called Hi-Tech personally, and they said they don't deal with the public. The guy told me to go to NAPA and give them the part number for a price.

$560 for a brand new assembled head is one hell of a deal. I may have to get one next summer and install some SS valves.

with a decent hot tank from a machine shop, a very light head surface decking, new valve springs, new valves, new valve seals, new valve guides you could end up with basically a brand new ld9 head, and for about the same price, pry acctually less.
you can either go to advance or auto zone with that part number and also get it.

does all the 2.3 head has the same valves?
the 955 and 086 might be the same size (I'm thinking the 086 are larger). I'm almost positive the 456 have smaller valves, though. Contact Karo, I'm sure he could tell you for sure.
