I was just wondering has anyone ever tried one of them intake superchargers off ebay? Do they just force air faster or what? and if anyone has can you tell a difference?

are you referring to the electic superchargers that they sell for like $30? if so, yeah they really work. /rolls eyes

sticking a hairdryer in your intake won't do anything for you

Unless your talking about a syntrifical, roots, or eaton style supercharger... than don't even give it a second thought. ANYTHING thats just mounts in your intake (besides a nitrouse nozzle), wont do a dang thing exept hinder performance.

a leaf blower is dyno proven but the power to run it would need to come from somewhere, negating the added power. not to mention these things are switch operated and can only be activated at WOT. and will only provide at the MOST 1-2HP lol until your engine overcomes the air its pushing in, then it's just a hinderance to air flow.

do it right, get a real supercharger

Arn't the 2.4 versions of the GMSC only $1400 or so now anyway? Thats a pretty cheap price for boost.

its only gonna hinder airflow. it wont do a thing. just remember you pay for performance. go with a real super charger.

yeah i was wondering where Centrifugal was on that list...

Correction about the leaf blower... i saw the video for it... IIRC ... the leaf blower gained 15 - 20 HP depending on the two vehicles used... and when they shot nitrous in to the leaf blower, it saw between 50 and 80 WHP ...

now thats a big ass leaf blower... a little Electric turbo does not spin fast enough to compress the air more than 1/2 PSI ... and the outlet is so small that you constrict air flow... whats funny is some of the older Datson/Nissan 280 ZX Turbos came stock with electric turbos.

its a waste of money... don;t do it

rewatching it...

the civic...
10 WHP gain with the leaf blower alone
49 WHP gain with the leaf blower and Nitrous

The Sonoma
14 WHP gain with the leaf blower alone
45 WHP gain with the leaf blower and Nitrous...

again thats a big ass leaf blower powered by a stroke gas engine...

the electric turbo is powered by 12 volts... and its tiny... you won't see a gain at all... and being that its constrictive... you'll lose power...
