2.4 block (and blanced crankshaft) bored .30 over with an 086 head and w41 cams. W41 ignition curve tuning
I'm lost.....Is that a question or a statement......Either way, my response is:
no

"Youth in Asia"...I don't see anything wrong with that.
so you think there is a better combination?
what is it?
Dont forget 2.3 oil pump swap to get rid of those ballance shafts plus more oil. Also which pistons/rods. HO intake will help along with a bigger throttle body. More than just tuning for timing also. Really there are an infinite ways to set up these engines for power depending on application. I personally like the 086 head swap however many of the fastest people on here have the 2.4 head. Theres also the 2.6 hybrid stroker that im axious to see dyno numbers for. There is no "best" combo, Its all personal taste.
In most aspects I would agree with above, but this is something that could be tested and proven objectively.
is there any part from the 2.4 that is better except the crank, with its longer stroke?
it seems like every time people get talking about T.C.s it's "2.3 this" and "2.3 that" all over what was originally a 2.4L
does the 2.4L crank fit in a W41?
LD9 F23 FTW!!

After reading an abundance of your posts, I have come to the conclusion that........
I don't like you.
Jesse, I agree.
Also the best what NA or boost. Also it is all opinion, and what the goals of your car is.

I think you too are mistaken, thinking anyone cares what you "think" is the best quad setup... not only because you're wrong...
The best quad setup is best said below....

Seriously, I just keep wondering when this will click with the majority of people around here.

RPO W41 as described by GM..." W41 1991 1993 MERCHANDISED PKG HIGH OUTPUT QUAD 442 HIGH OUTPUT QUAD 442(W41) "
what you get when you look up Cam shafts (what makes a W41 option a W41)
" 24573233 N 2.3A(LG0), HIGH OUTPUT QUAD 442(W41) CAMSHAFT, EXH 1992-1993 01 404.30
24572402 N 2.3A(LG0), HIGH OUTPUT QUAD 442(W41) CAMSHAFT, INT 1992-1993 01 440.70 "
along with the other cams, you also got a difrent tranny, and a neat IDI cover. some stickers and what not.
NOW. to answer your question, what are YOU trying to do with the car? dont get ahead of your self by saying somthing like " W-41 timing"
Why would a 2.4 with LG0\W41 cams act like a 2.3 with W41 cams?
rebuilding it as stated it just a good idea, but you need to know how/were you want to make the power.
so, what are you shoting for?

Chris
and the W41 option was only available in a 2.3L, so I don't see where the problem is.
