Lets do like a 10 page *sticky* or so write up on whats interchangeable and what mods you have to do to change parts on the gm quads.

I think motor trend did a write up on this topic awhile ago too.

I would love to see this thread started by someone who searched the information prior to posting as titled. It implies that somewhere down the road the author took time out of his day to do some research. In lieu of this....
JBO FAQ
Also may want to search some more but these are the twin cam specs. No need for a 10 page discussion, just beat some feet and people will thank you for it.

He probably is talking about between the 2.3L Quad 4 and the 2.4L twin cam engines.

I have time before class, so I'll humor you

Answer:
-Transmission
-Crank (2.4 in a 2.3L....can't be done the other way around...nor should you want to)
-Cams (direct interchange with the exception of 94-earlier intake cams)
-Intake manifold (port match needed)
-Exhaust manifold (maybe a 2.3L on a 2.4L...2.4L manifold's ports are too small for the 2.3L heads)
-Head (match the water passages)
-Oil pump (match the oil passages, block existing oil passages, drill and tap to mount oil pump. Modify oil pan if going from 2.4L to a 2.3L pump)
-throttle body
-Crank pulley
-IDI cover
-Cam towers
-Power steering (depends on intake cam)
-Single link style timing chain
-Water pump

Anything else you need?

"Youth in Asia"...I don't see anything wrong with that.
