I just did the swap for the 2nd time, but cant remember what I did before. Im using a 2.4 tb and bracket, and I made the bottom bolt hole on the bracket bigger to bolt it to the tb/manifold. I have an auto tranny, and the bracket will not line up with the bottom hole on the tb cause the bracket is hitting the top of the tranny. Should I just cut some of the bottom of the bracket off so it clears the trans or would a 2.3 bracket work better.
Sorry if this has been covered, I believe so but I cant remember where and I dont have time to sit here and go through hundreds of posts.
I just have one bolt holding on the bracket, and thats the one that goes in to the mani.
I cut a lil bit off so it will clear the Trans. drill another hole on the top right hand side facing the firewall so you can bolt the Cable bracket back to the TB
99z for 2015.. I'm back bitches
I cut off some of the bracket so it cleared the trans, and held it on with the lower tb bolt and just put one of the stock 10mm tb bolts into the top tb hole to keep it from moving. Its cool now.
I thought I read a throttle bracket from a 95 2.3 cav is the simplest, but idk. Its working fine for now. And Im happy I dont have any leaks like I did the first time I did the swap lol.
I used the 2.3 bracket for the swap, works fine other than having to delete the cruise since I didn't feel like modifying it.

I have a 98 Sunfire Gt and did a aluminum intake mani from OBX and bored throttle body, is it true that the EGR has to be blocked off? The car runs like crap and hesitates. The check engine light is on and the rad fan runs all the time??
