is ecotec anything like honda's vtec? can u take an ecotec head and put it on a noneco 2.2 and change computer and it work?

I'd say that the ecotec is nothing like the vtec, but i'm just guessing on that.

For the head question, i think one of the heads have a different triangular mount on the side of it. Therefore it would not work. I'm pretty sure on this.

no the 2200 and the ecotec are two completely different motors. Vtec is a form of variable valve timing where as Ecotec is just the name of the motor. Although the 2.4 Ecos have VVT.

I hear if you have on of those rare Toyota Cavaliers they came with teh vtAk, so you should get on overnighting those parts from Japan asap.

not to me the party pooper but the whole vtAk thing is kinda lame now... well its always been lame to be honest.
