l61 auto idle?

What should the ecotec idle at?

I recently painted the ignition module? I was very careful about it though and didnt get any of the plugs or plug ins with the paint.

After i painted it the rpms went to 1500, first start up after putting it back in, then dropped down to about 1000. I dropped it in drive and they dropped to around 900 and then i was curious and through the air on and it didnt drop nearly as much as it used to ? I also didnt get the bad vibs with the air being on like usual due to the lower motor mount? Any ideas?

THe only thing i can think of is that i have a better connection at the ignition now that i unconnected and reconnected?

Is it better to have a higher idle or a lower idle?

I'm thinking i just noticed this more and that its normal but since i messed with the ignition i was obviously watching the start up. Tomorrow i'll be sure to take it for a good spin and see if i notice any difference.

Btw this is an automatic i think they idle different?
