2200 vs. 2.4 Intake Mani

This may comes as a stupid question but how far off are the two systems.

Would it be possible to take an intake mani and fuel rail off of a 2.4 and modify it SLIGHTLY to fit the 2200?

the easiest way to see if the manifold will actually bolt on with a few mods is to compare the two intake manifold gaskets............The ports have to be the same or it will just cause a @!#$load of turbulence and the whole manifold swap would be pointless in the first place. then the studs on the head have to be pretty close also.

another question u have to ask is are the injectors the same between the 2.4 and 2200.... if the 2.4 has bigger injectors then it will run super rich

yea good luck

ports are totally different, bolt patterns totally different, not to mention the intake is on the opposite side of the 2200 so it may hit the firewall

I thought they were different.
They look similar to each other but never knew if they would interchange or not.
Good information.
