number one -it cuts out at half tank, been like that for a while. the cup isnt cut either. i learned to live with that.
my problem happened the other day when the car is super hot, and it is hot out side( 90). i let the car sit and idle as i got out and looked at something in a lot for sale, then moved foward and looked at something else. i got out on the main road and got going up to 5th gear and all of a sudden the car did nothing, down shifted, nothing, and down to 3rd then it hesitated and chugg'd and then got going. it ran fine the rest of the way home(like 15 miles). probably because the air cooled everything down. i also noticed the pump was pretty loud most of that day, and i did some more stop and go slow driving not to much earlier on that hot day.
i am wondering if anyone else has a problem with the walbro pump when it gets super hot outside. pretty soon i would like to put a stock pump back in, as i am not boosted so i dont need this POS half a$$ fuel set up.
i had this problem 2 years ago when i was sitting in a drive through, but it wasnt nearly as bad as this. kinda chugged and then went
anyone relate?
thanks
I had this problem last august. I think it was the fuel pump was overheated.
i had that problem like that with my DSM, when i took it out (love that little plate to remove it) and hard wired it to a bat, it worked fine, reinstaled it, and it worked.
maby you have one of them knock off walbro's?
let me know whats going on, i can have one same day

it isnt a knock off one.
chris- i do like how easy the dsm one is to get to. i wont mess with rewiring my cav, not worth the trouble and it wont fix the problem. basically it is just a rare problem that might happen when the outside temp gets hot. plus i dont do nearly as much stop and go driving as you guys down there.
