Went to the dyno today (July 6th) and before I post the results I would like to hear what some of your guesses of what I should have put down to the wheels (yes I know every car is different.)
2002 Cavalier 2.2 Ecotec
AEM CAI
Pacesetter Header
2.25in Mandrel bend exhaust w/ hi-flow cat. and dynomax muffler
After a few guesses I will post the results....If someone else has dyno numbers with an ecotec please post them up. with list of mods
I have one true love in my life...And my girlfriend sits next to me in it
im gonna guess at around mayybee 135hp
I was gonna ask what transmission you had but I looked in your profile and seen it was a manual, so that will see more HP to the wheels than an auto would.
I will say 144whp
PROUD MEMBER OF JBOK.
I am giong to guess...
133-hp
138-tq
I am guessing 140whp no more than that.
138.3 hp
145 at the absolute max... but looking at the pic there is a circuit board on the wall that says MD.... I may be completely making this up but is that some of the wiring for a Mustang Dyno? if so there is no way 140 whp on a mustang dyno.
oh lord just post the results, fans are dying to know

Hey Brad
I was also on a Mustang dyno yesterday (July 6) I will bet you $5 my ALL MOTOR results are higher, go ahead look in my profile, i have a different motor i just put in, so my profile needs updating. I will give you a clue my new results are about 12% higher. Yes i understand you have a different motor but in OHIO were all the same
Have fun!

Lets see the numbers?????
let me guess 165 crank hp?
cardomain ftw! lol
I want to share something with you - the three sentences that will get you through life. Number one, 'cover for me', Number two, 'oh, good idea, boss', Number three, 'it was like that when I got here.'
Well the reason I was asking for some guesses is because my numbers were quite high, A little too high to believe although a couple other cars that went with me ran pretty much around where they were expecting or a relistic number they should put down.
My best run was 173whp and 168ft/tq dont flame me on this because Im not claiming thats what I have, thats just what the print out was. its a Mustang Dyno put in a little over 2 months ago so pretty recent calibration etc.
sorry for the pic of the sheet, I dont have a scanner........well lets here your thoughts.lol

what were your other runs? it does seem a little too high. 173 crank hp is more believable. but 173whp is like 190hp.

My other 2 runs were 169whp and 171whp

somethign is definetly whack on the dyno, from what I've heard a Mustnag Dyno typically reads about 10% lower then most other dynos.
Its not possible that your made 173 whp on Mustang dyno with intake and exhaust and heavier, bigger then stock wheels. Did they liek dyno it in second gear or somthing?
think you could repost that big enough for me to actually read the info on the sheet? I'm not trying to bust your balls so please don't take it that way, but on a mustang dyno, with those mods, it shouldn't be possible. PJ's eco numbers with just bolt ons were lower on the CNFX dynojet, and that was definitely a friendly dyno to begin with. Could be an incorrect correction factor, jacked weather/baro input, etc... Most times dynos are all pretty accurate, that is, until you get an inattentive, incompetent, or or downright crooked operator behind them.
Arrival Blue 04 LS Sport
Eco
Turbo

since its consistent then its either real or the shop modified the dyno to show higher numbers to make customers happy.

^^thats what I thought, but its not like i bought any of the upgrades from them....I could see if I were to get them to say re do my head or something and then the higher number makes them look good, but in this case they really dont benefit.
well one of my buddies that was with us thinks it might have been set up as rwd would that make a difference if it were and why....he is going to another dyno and if he reads the same that he did at this one then we'll know......

At stock yea, but his isn't stock. Read his first post a little more thoroughly.

his sig says it all......
Yea, true. Attention to detail sometimes takes a while to acquire. Hell, I suffer from lack of it sometimes too.
yeah i guess your right, everyone does at some point in time. it's like not being able to chew gum and walk in a straight line when a nice set of knockers go by
