2.4L lifespan?

Hey guys. Just wondering what a typical lifespan of a 2.4L is? I know there's lots of variables to consider, but from your experiences when do they usually start to go if it is reasonably looked after? Mine is a '99 and has 190K and I'm wondering whether it is worth it to start tuning if the engine is going to start falling apart... I've had no problems at all so far but it is getting old.

Im currently on my 2nd 2.4l.. mine went @ 97k.. blew the b@stard up. i would count on replacing your 2.4l.. keep yours in while your new one is at the shop.. install better cams, valves, & pistons... you'll have less downtime, and almost no downtime when you plan on going with forced induction . i picked up a 2.4l /w 45k.. 750 /w shipping.
