Ok, im getting ready to balance my bottom end.. and only have one hold up... i was going to get the scale, and they have many different ones that weigh up to certaint #s of grams... does anyone know about how much one of my rods would weigh? and one of the pistons? its from a 2.0 turbo, stock pistons, stock bore, stock rods, thanks in advance for help

Anyone??!!!

You need to get the exact weight of your parts instead of taking someone elses readings. Each rod and piston combination will be different in weight to some degree. Exact figures for your parts are needed to do what you are talking about or it won't be balanced properly.
it doesn't cost much to bring it in and have the crankshaft balanced... might as well get it done right.

Well, the crank im going to buy comes pre-balanced.. and i didnt want to have to spend the money to get the rods and pistons balanced.. so i was going to balance those myself... im just not sure what sclae to get like... theres some that weight 100 grams.. and some that go all to way to 600 grams that iv seen... so i was just wondering which one would be enough for it...

fair enough, pistons would be much more than 100... maybe around the 600 range, but that is a guess.

hmmm... so basically i need something that at least goes up to like 1200 grams to be able to do rods and pistons?

You do rods and pistons separately, and you only do one end of the rod at a time. No idea which scale though, sorry.

better a delay than a disaster.
Why not bring your piston and rod to the place you buy the scale so you can establish which scale you need.
Nevermind... F*** doin this myslef lol... i think im just gonna have a machine shop do it... prolyl cheaper as u said since its only my motor im doin.... plus, i wanna make sure i get it right too... it just more worth it to have a machine shop do it.. i found one that will for $150... but thanks to everyone.. its been a big help
