I was just wondering what models and years of j bodies i could find the 2.3 liter HO parts. What parts from the 2.3 liter engines can be used on the 2.4 2.2 or 2.0 ecotec and Ld9.

scroll down a little ways, and you'll see the title "Quad 4 Powered Cars" and it'll give you a list of models.
as for parts, the only engine with HO swapable parts is the 2.4.
you can swap in:
the 086 head
the oil pump
the cams
the lifters
the cam towers
valve springs
even the NVG-T550 transmission and axles
it all depends on how much time and money you have.
it'd be easier just to swap the entire engine, but you'd need a 95' cav or fire with a manual trans. (easiest way anyhow)
just search around and you'll find all the info you need

you dont need to have a 95J to do the whole swap..you just need the pcm and harness from the 95 manual Z or GT..the engine itself bolts up to any Jbody and will bolt on to any manual isuzu or getrag transmission that came on a 2.4 ..but if you have an isuzu its best to bolt in the 1992-94 5speed getrag that came with it....also he forgot to list the HO intake manifold and throttle body as parts that work on the twin cam
I bought a 2.3 throttle body the other day from a 95' Grand am. Is this the right year car. Its suppose to be a 56mm but just want to make sure.
GMR has got nothing on this
yes..all quads had 56mm TBs

Thankz for that, also what is the biggest I can bore it I heard 58 is this right? Hey you live in Austin, I live in San Antonio lets have a meet going or something, i would love to see the beast engine in person

come to austin heatwave in july..its where ill be debuting it ..ill be parked with the rest of my club so just look for the cavaliers
also the HO or w40/41 exhaust mani
no..the exhaust manifold will not fit any other engine...unless it has a quad head already swapped
When you say the 2.4 your meaning the LD9 right, which is the engine in my 2000 Z24 cavalier
I believe you were originally asking about all of the variants of the ECO (2.4, 2.2 & 2.0) and the LD9 (2.4)
On this site, In general:
2.4 = LD9
2.3 = LGO, LD2, or L40 (but we don't care so much about this one
)
So yes, all of those parts that Casper and Scott mentioned will fit on an LD9.
