also, i want to buy an exhaust header, will that bolt right up to the exhaust system or will i have to modify anything?
alright, haha made a post i should have thought about first. what i want to do is upgrade my whole exhaust. i know for sure i am going to get the pasesetter header. would the exhaust system above be compatible with that? im new to this kind of stuff so bare with me
I have that exhaust. Any catback exhaust will be compatible with any header. You might want to upgrade to a test pipe or a high flow catalytic converter also to get the full flow.

cool, so with that exhaust set up, a magnaflow 91036 OBDII highflow cat, and the pasesetter header, what kind of horse power gain am i lookin at? also, for the exhaust should i go with a 2.5" or a 2.25" ?
i am having a full exhaust made it is gonna cost 650 for the full thing from the head all the way back not gonna spend alot to get everything from online or a catalog
Unless you planning on going boost soon then 2.25 should be just fine.

I have that exhaust, for the money you can't beat it. Its stainless, has hangers and actually fits. You may need to get a different hanger for the muffler depending on what your car has on it. Those are available from the dealer for less than twenty bucks.
cool, well with that price the only size i could find was the 2.5" and when i get my header i need to take it to the exhaust shop and have them modify it to fit the 2.5". anyone know what they will do to make it fit and possibly how much it will cost? also, will i gain less power than what i would if i would have gone with the 2.25"?

that debate will go on forever. people say 2.25 inch diameter is good enogh for J's. while other say 2.25 inch is good for 2.2 ohv and 2.5 inch is good for the 2.4 and eco. but no one really knows cause nobody dyno tested them
