im looking for instructions on pulling a 2.4 motor with an auto trans. We have very litte experience but have a mechanic friend if we do get stuck. i tried searching and didnt come up with anything
look for posts about the Ecotec swap it will get you in the ballpark as to what to do
eh, just start yanking bolts, eventually it will be loose lol, then cherry picker the biotch out and call it a day.
Search for it....I made up a fairly detailed step by step process once, dont remember what the post was called.
Make it easy on yourself..... drop the engine and trans out the bottom.....

loosn bolts and un clip wires till it comes out. no need for a engine jack. lol we just jack up the front very high with a few bricks and put a jack on the oil pan or tranny with a peice of wood to absorb some energy. Then lower it and its out. Be careful not it drop it fast so it doent hit the ground hard. Then get a buddy and pull like hell. If you are sacred of damage get an engine jack. But im cheap.
