I have a 2.4 ecotec block and have access to an awesome 2.2 head from an ecotec. Will these interchange?

it technically should (i might be wrong but i thought all the blocks were the same minus bore/stroke)
but you won't be able to run in it a cavalier without a standalone.. or alot of wiring of a stock ECM out of a car that has it
