the eco swap is in but my harness was missing the connector to the water temperature sensor on the back side of the motor. im thinking of just running a water temperature gauge in my pillar pod but i'm wondering how it connects. if it just connects to the wires for the stock sensor, i'm screwed because i dont have that. aaron was saying the sender should work with the stock connection as in i pull the stock connection out. screw in the autometer piece then screw the stock piece into it. does anyone have one or know if this is accurate?

im no performance guy but i think i do remember reading something very recently that you just replace the stock piece with the autometer piece.
dont quote me, but ill try and locate wherever i seen that
well, not sure the difference between the 2.4 and the eco as far as water temp goes, but from what ive been reading it seems you do need the stock water temp connection, and have to make a T of sorts to connect it. this way the computer will know the temp and will kick the fan on when needed. but this is all fan related. i think you could prolly figure out a way to hook it up without the stock, but the fan wont know when to come on, so it never will. but if the gauge works then you can always hook the fan to a switch and turn it on/off when needed. at least this is what i gathered from reading around. hope it helps a little
