pulleys are more of a helper mod. by itself it wont get much. but with intake, exhaust, cams, etc etc it will be benefical

It could save you a few bucks in fuel in the long run, but it'll be at cost of increased steering effort because it'll turn the pump slower.

Go beyond the "bolt-on".

Nice try bro. All Quad 4/Twin cam/Ecotec motors run the power steering off of the intake camshaft. An underdrive pulley doesn't affect steering at all.

If not steering, what are the drawbacks?

One drawback is if you have a powerful audio system in your car. Good luck on not killing your battery. Because the alt wont juice up enough at idle to power everything properly.

Don't have a stereo, I dont bother with that stuff, I got an exhaust, AEM intake, throttle body spacer and now a underdrive pulley, I bought one last night.

Then your good to rock and rool, get the AEM Power Pulley to match up to your UD pulley and wreak the power of reving faster and better throttle response from a lighter load on the crank and what not.
