I just installed a AEM intake on my fire its a 2.4L I installed it and now the engine light is on I think I install it right and the sensor in put in to the hole on the intake and the hose is connected to the other hose it any one could help that would be great thanks.
Wow, if that was easier to read it'd be easier to help... but you mention sensors and what not. Make sure you didnt disconnect anything check all the connections in the area, and make sure you didnt ruin the IAT sensor.

if everything in that area is connected properly then you most likely damaged your iat sensor during the install
Go to autozone they will tell you in 2min whats wrong.
yep an iat sensor about 100 bucks for the sensor or what my local dealership wants for it
is there anyway to figure out if the sensor is bad
100$ for an iat sensor? are you kidding me? just go to autozone and replace it, disconnect the negative side of your battery while doing the install...this will reset your ECU..later
you could check the resistace threw the sensor. if its bad it will be out of spec. Im sure the info on spec is somewhere around here.

really i would like to know more on getting one at a local parts store as none of them around here (autozone, advanced auto parts, napa, oreilys) seem to know where to get one other than at the dealership. so please explain. and if your saying to just disconnect the battery and it will be fine thats not true cuz approx 10 miles of driving it will come back on also if same if you just delete the cel
ive got 2 Napa Part Numbers. whoever you talked to are @!#$ idiots.
There are 2 Lines. Mileage Plus (MPE) or Echlin (ECH). Echlin is the better brand and is the way i would personally go.
MPE = TS4026SB
ECH = TS4026

Im a Xbox 360 fanboy...and damn proud of it!!
Man I have had to replace my IAT twice and Autozone had it in stock both times. Cost me $25.00 for both.
In the planning stage for an all American TRD Cavalier.
My IATs have been $8.90 for a stock one and $19.53 for the Camaro one. Whoever told you $100 is full of @!#$, that or you have no clue what's going on but wanted to post something up.
I used to race cars, now I race myself.

not to thread jack, but TVR, are there any gains from running a camaro iat on a cav?
thanks for the part numbers i will call and give them the part numbers and order mine. and the dealership wants 114.70 i just called a couple min ago. Back about 6 months ago when i called it was a little over a hundred and i refused to pay that much for a tiny sensor that prob costs little to nothing to make. thanks again with the part numbers time to get rid of my cel now lol
Yeah,
I mean dang, you can pocket an ist from a junkyard.
But the national chains, Autozone, Advance, Napa, shouldn't cost more than $10-$15
Do the reset thing that folks are saying.
Maybe even go through a complete driving cycle.
You should be ok.
