unless you're planning on going boost or massive n/a build, then 2.25 is plenty for our cars. if you're only changing the cat-back, then you wont feel much difference. the best way to do this (to feel the most gain), is all at once (i.e. replace the header, pipe to cat, the cat itself, and the rest from the cat back) with true mandrel bent piping. otherwise, all the individual gains you receive as much as having them all done at once would.it might also be a good idea, while you're in there, to have the longest resonator (perforated cherry bomb muffler) that will fit installed as well, as it will cut down on the raspiness of the system. mate that with a pair (since you're running duals) of your favorite mufflers, and if they don't come tipped, a decent looking pair of tips.

the guy at the exhaust shop is right about the people in the back seat and it denting. when i had my 01 z24 it did that when i had people in my back seat. and right now i have an 04 eco running 2 1/2 in. exhaust and it doesnt do it much but it does rub on the axle when people are in the back seat
My Exhaust we did in the fall, 2.5" Stainless steel piping from header all the way back up and over the trailing arm....
Lowered on Eibach Prokit and KYB AGX's... Zero clearance issues.
