how to swap in ecotec????

whats up everybody i have a 97 ln2 motor in the engine bay and im about to get a hold of an ecotec engine and 5 speed trans but im not sure how its all going to work out i hope well but im not sure how i will do everything so i was wandering if anyone else has done this swap or if anyone knows were to find directions on how to do the swap.i know dropping the motor and trans in will be easy but i have no clue after that????? im hoping the computer and wire harness will all be plug and play . so if anyone can help me let me know your input

it will not. you need at the very least ALL the wires, the computer, the mounts, the fuel tank and what alls attached to it, the evap system, and probably a whole lot more. the only similarity between your car and the car the eco came out of is the outer shell. every single other thing is different.

ive been wondering that myself. but no one has answered the question

anyways, best bet is to get rear ended jbody with an ecotec in it and swap everything over

It can be done without changing gas tanks, but you then have to do some cutting and splicing. 2000+ cars they moved the evap systems to the rear of the car by the gas tank. Before that they were in the front of the car. There is a extra line ran for the Evap that is like a fuel line and how it connects to the fuel tank. To make it a plug and play swap having everything from a 2000+ car will make your life easier. I have done this swap a few times and on a pre 2000 car.
