I read a faq in the library, on chips that stated.
Yes and no, depending on the year of your car.
Any first or second gen J-body can be "chipped" by replacing the chip in the computer that runs the car (Powertrain Control ModuleSee ECM. or PCM, or electronic control unit or ECU).
95 J-body cars EXCEPT for the 2.3L automatic are OBD1, and are "chippable".
So my question is since my car is a 2nd gen j-body 94 Z24 with the 3.1, and ODB1 according to this article it is chipable, so does anybody know where I can find a chip or pcm for my car?
fastfowardperformance would be a good site to check

try Hptuners, much more than just a chip, it cracks almost all GM computers open like a walnut
a little pricey though, but worth it
^^HP doesn't do chips^^^
Try contacting:
Hypertech
Superchips
Motorvation
Jet
if you are interested in total custom, a couple of us could possibly help.
Check the OBD1 threads. About a half dozen of us have the tools and software to burn our own chips.

again, another wrong car/year based opinion.
Jet modules for 96-up J suck
Chips are another story. No one has tested them.

there are several options for you, find someone with a burner and the BIN file and have fun. get a chip emulator and be basically running a standalone system. there is also the MS route, which is a standalone.
try looking at tunercat.com, and moates.net for emulators and chip burning items.
