i just installed the prothane lower engine mount and it was sooooooo tight i had to hammer the brackets apart then hammer the mount into place, it was about 1/16 of an inch too wide front and back. is this normal or did i just get the screw ball???

Did you put it in the right way? lol

I did mine on my 2.4 and my friends ecotec last week, didnt have to hammer the mounting bracket. I used some lube to help it slide one side up in, then put the bolt through; then I hammered the other side up in a little. Was a pita but it wasnt too bad.

ya, it wont even fit the other way, the rear is 3/16ths wider than the front. i was really shocked cause my upper mount went in no problem.

I thought about grindind a tiny bit off each end of polyurenthane, but didnt need to. Just had to mess with it for a while. And it was a real pita doing one and then having to do another lol.
